Jaguar Design Inspires Luxury Hotel Suite

The distinctive design elements that make a Jaguar instantly recognizable on the road are moving to the world of the upscale hotel. In September, the world's first Jaguar suite opens at London's 51 Buckingham Gate Taj Suites and Residences.
The sleek design of this 1,832 square foot, two-bedroom suite alludes to classic and contemporary Jaguar models, from the legendary 1960's E-type to the state-of-the art C-X75 . Overseen by Jaguar Design Director Ian Callum and his in-house design team, the suite features specially-commissioned auto-inspired artwork and displays. Using materials taken from the cars, such as leather, metal and high gloss veneer, Taj's boutique London hotel now nods to the legacy and future vision of Jaguar's timeless style.
The Jaguar experience starts subtly at the door, with sleek wood paneling greeting guests on arrival and Jaguar damask lining the bedroom walls. Intriguing design features are evident throughout, from the minimalistic clean-fuel fireplace referencing the shape of the brand's hallmark rear window to the finest leather that lines the cars, ebony veneer doors and custom-made Jaguar wallpaper.
The two bedrooms are fitted with super-king sized beds with Italian leather headboards, soft carpets, state-of-the-art fittings, and a 32-inch wall mounted television. En-suite bathrooms feature adaptable mood lighting, marble floored walk-in showers and oversized baths.
An archway leads through to a dining room that doubles up as a meeting space, seating up to ten people. For those needing a quiet workspace, the separate study, with its custom-made desk, modern design and latest IT equipment, is just the spot. Complete with a fully-equipped, gloss-black kitchen, guests feel as if in the comfort of their own home.
Until you can make it across the pond, take a look at the inspired new and pre-owned Jaguar designs available in Indianapolis at Tom Wood Jaguar.
